Certification for fair trade and responsible supply chains [fr]
Impact, actions & engagements remarquablesA 100% organic company since its creation in 1987, ProNatura's mission is to support and unite many organic producers in France and around the world. It has progressively and naturally focused on CSR and responsible sourcing: within its very diversified sectors, it promotes and develops local channels, cooperation, equity, and human values. In 2005, ProNatura created ProNatura West Africa (PNWA) in southwest Togo. Fair trade certified in 2006 for pineapple, PNWA then diversifies its fair trade products (ginger, turmeric, papaya, avocado). In total, nearly 422 producers are involved in the project, grouped into very dynamic unions. Thanks to the Fair Development Fund, various projects, decided collectively at the level of each union, have been financed (literacy, food production techniques, diversification of activities, purchase of equipment, etc.). ProNatura is also involved in other Fair for Life channels: the avocado, ginger and curcuma of Peru, the fresh Mazafati date of Iran and avocado and macadamia nut of Kenya.
