Certification for fair trade and responsible supply chains [fr] |
Impact, actions & engagements remarquables | The CADO Consortium is the first community organization in the world to produce community organic alcohol for the fair trade perfume industry. Our beneficiary partner families are small producers living in the Andes mountain range between 500 and 1400 meters above sea level that cultivate sugar cane in a traditional way, each family has its small distillery and efficiently contributes to care for the environment, water and forests of the mountain range which are the resources that allow them to maintain their lifestyle. Our approach as an organization is for CADO's partner families to empower themselves with their own social development process in families, respecting the environment and the rights of all those involved in responsible production processes, including the communities surrounding our producers. The resources achieved through fair trade are used to strengthen the capabilities of new leaders, health and safety investment for workers, women's rights and support in community projects that support other communities. | |||||||
