Certification for fair trade and responsible supply chains

L'Occitane Group contributes to the development of sustainable ingredient chains.

The Group has chosen nature as its source of inspiration and relies on the natural properties of plants for the well-being of its consumers.

A team of agronomic experts is dedicated to ensuring the sustainable supply of strategic plants.

They work directly with producers on the continuous improvement of these chains.

ENGAGING OUR SUPPLIERS IN SUSTAINABLE AND RESPONSIBLE RELATIONSHIPS

For key ingredients, the Group is building long-term, trust-based partnerships, which take the form of multi-year contracts with our producers, where possible. These contracts guarantee them pre-financing payments of up to 80% of the order, a purchase volume with a remunerative price agreed between the parties. Work is currently underway to certify these strategic fair trade ingredient chains in order to perpetuate these good practices and to have them audited by a third party to ensure their proper application.

Four of the group's chains are involved in the fair trade process, controlled according to the Fair for Life* certification: shea butter in Burkina Faso, Argan, Coconut and Orange blossom in Morocco.
