| Impact, special achievements & commitments | | | Kentaste Products is Kenya's largest virgin coconut oil processing company, committed to organic and fair-trade principles. We work with over 144 employees and 2,003 contracted farmers in 50 villages. We include a Fair Trade premium in every invoice to pay 5% into a fund managed by farmers, employees, and management. In order to achieve a positive impact, every invoice issued to our virgin coconut oil customers includes a Fair Trade premium which enables us to pay 5% into a Fair Trade fund which is managed by a committee of farmers, employees, and management. Kentaste Products employees coordinate the projects to ensure that the premium is used meaningfully and efficiently. Projects like school furniture, coconut seedling programs, and health insurance have been completed through this fund. Our vision is to expand our family of farmers beyond Kwale County. | ||||
