Impact, special achievements & commitmentsEN/FR

Created in 2000 from the merger of three agricultural sugar cooperatives and a distillery, Cristal Union has remained faithful to its founding cooperative values. Today, it has 8 sugar mills and 3 distilleries spread throughout northeastern France, producing and marketing sugar, alcohol and bioethanol. Its organization is based on a unique cooperative model that guarantees a strong exchange and unity between its cooperators and its Board of Directors.
In 2019, the Group was the first to invest in the creation of a French organic beet sugar sector, in order to meet consumer expectations, despite the complexity and demands of this crop.
The Fair For Life project thus aims to support the sustainable development of organic beet by providing special assistance to its cooperators, thanks to the development fund set up.
