| Impact, special achievements & commitments | | | COOPALM is a cooperative of family farmers active since 2004 that contributes positively to the socio-economic development of the region by generating jobs and income for its more than 600 cooperative members, direct employees, service providers and local businesses. Coopalm's Fair Trade policy is supported on 4 aspects: Economic, Environmental, Human and Food Safety. The beneficiaries of this policy are the Organic Guaraná Cooperative Members located in the Southern Bahia Lowlands who work in Family Agriculture. The focus of Fair Trade Certification is to contribute to the organization of these producers; to support the production and commercialization of organic guaraná; to develop projects that benefit the local community; to work on the migration from traditional to organic culture. | ||||
