Certification for fair trade and responsible supply chains |
Impact, special achievements & commitments | Founded in 1693, Leeuwenkuil Farms, which include Mooigelee farm, Knollefontein farm, Langvlei farm, Leeuwenkuil farm and Karnemelksvlei farm has been home to seven generations of the Dreyer family. Their love of the land and respect for nature serve as the foundation for the over 1300 hectares of vineyard the family are custodians to. Situated at the gate of the Swartland, Leeuwenkuil crafts an array of wines well-suited to the climate and soil of this region. Leeuwenkuil works with both old and new world winemaking styles to keep things both traditional and fresh. Currently 24 permanent, 9 temporary and 380 subcontracted workers working these hectares of vines. Leeuwenkuil is a family business with a strong focus on family values. This means that they consider everyone they work with a part of the Leeuwenkuil family – be they owners, managers, or employees. | |||||||
