AGRILAND is a Tunisian company, pioneer and leader in the processing and marketing of organic essential oils since 2017, with 40,000 tonnes of rosemary exploited per year and employing more than 200 people and 22 producers. AGRILAND is known for being a serious and reliable supplier, providing high quality oils and natural ingredients, selected from the best oil producers in Tunisia. We are voluntary and innovative with extensive acquired experience and family heritage with great rigor and continuous improvement. We are certified according to the most recent FSSC 22000 food safety standards, also certified in organic farming according to European and American standards, and respecting certain ethnic and community standards, and since 2022, we are in the process of implementing an approach aiming to be certified in fair trade and social responsibility. We are able to supply products both in bulk to the processing industries and as finished products in any type of packaging. AGRILAND has organized its supply chain around groups of producers in the regions in NABEUL and throughout the Beni khiar slope, dar chaabene, to whom it provides assistance, help and supervision.
2. Social policy
AGRILAND is a key and very active player in the ecological field and this goes hand in hand with its social commitment and its fair trade practice putting people at the center of its approach. This is why we have chosen to promote the fair trade approach according to Ecocert’s “Fair For Life” framework since 2023. This approach contributes to the financing of a certain number of social programs intended to improve the working or living conditions of beneficiaries. With this approach we were able to help producers and we responded to their requests (mechanical equipment for weeding, organic phytosanitary product against aphids, we helped families in the region during the month of Ramadan. And to do this, AGRILAND commits for each cent generated by fair trade, the same contribution of its own funds to finance the various charitable programs.
3. Transparency and participation
The development fund finances development projects chosen freely by the members of the management committee which is made up of stakeholder representatives completely independent of the governance of the company. Its actions and its balance sheet are published and can be consulted on the fly, to guarantee the greatest transparency. These projects will comply with the general principles which are: • Develop the knowledge and abilities of individuals • Improve and develop working conditions • Improve the living conditions • Improve the impact on the environment |
