| Impact, special achievements & commitments | | | LECOFRUIT is engaged since 2012 in the marketing of green beans and butter beans «bio-equitable». From 2022, a request for a new product certified FFL is expressed by the customer PROSAIN, green asparagus. For this, the production site Naivasha (NVA) and the processing site Antsirabe were chosen for this activity. The NVA farm is a green asparagus production site, the entire activity is certified organic, asparagus are grown on this site from the seed preparation stage until harvest, the total area of the farm is 22.16Ha. Currently, the farm has 23 permanent and 169 temporary employees on peak period. LECOFRUIT Antsirabe (LCA) is a factory belonging to the BASAN group, in 2017 the company was established and bore the name of SOCOTA Agro Industrie SAI, in 2020 the company was acquired by the BASAN group and its activity is limited to the processing and storage of semi-finished product. | ||||
