Certification for fair trade and responsible supply chains |
Impact, special achievements & commitments | In line with the Fair Trade Policy of FFAK, while FFAK remains committed towards economic and social upliftment of farmers as well as making genuine contributions towards society and environment, it is equally true that such endeavours and activities remain a factor of the Fairtrade/development premium received in lieu of buying of farmers’ crops by Fair Trade supply chain under different certifications. In context of FFL operations for wheat, it should be highlighted that the volumes remain low and the effort/ documentation/ procedural inputs/ compliance challenge on farmer consortium remains high. Please aso refer to Pt 1 of self assessment for additional perspectives. | |||||||
