| Impact, special achievements & commitments | | | Uganda Aromatics was registered in 2006, started operation in 2014 with a one-acre organic nursery for aromatic crop seed multiplication to ensure sustainable supply of quality planting material for the company and Out growers.In 2016, distillery was constructed, out growers involved in organic cultivation of aromatic crops, to date, 36 out growers have been reached covering 153 acres.In 2018, Fair Trade Certificate, a truck was acquired for transportation of raw materials to the distillery. The company employs 33 workers in both plantation and distillery.Farmers have benefited from sales of Aromatic crops and fair-trade premium that grows with increased production and sales volume of essential oil. The group has committed Fair Trade Premium for water project in the community.Essential oil demands are growing and Uganda Aromatics has to meet this growing market demand. | ||||
